As a Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas to meet customer expectations. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all pizzas are prepared to order and presented to customers in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities: 1. Pizza Preparation: * Prepare ingredients for pizza assembly, such as dough, sauce, cheese, meats, and vegetables. * Assemble pizzas according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and quality. * Cook pizzas in a brick oven or deck oven to achieve the perfect crust and toppings. 2. Cooking and Finishing: * Cook pizzas to order, following kitchen standards and procedures. * Add finishing touches, such as cheese melting and garnishes. 3. Quality Control: * Monitor pizza quality and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards. * Identify and address any quality issues or customer complaints. 4. Customer Service: * Interact with customers to take orders, answer questions, and provide information about menu items. * Respond to customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner. 5. Kitchen Maintenance: * Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards. * Clean equipment and utensils after each use. 6. Teamwork: * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations. * Participate in training and menu development to improve skills and knowledge. Requirements: 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or experience preferred. 2. Experience: 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment; pizza making experience is a plus. 3. Skills: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work in a team environment. 4. Certifications: Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) may be required. Physical Demands: 1. Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) of ingredients, equipment, or supplies. 2. Standing: Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) on a hard floor surface. 3. Bending: Frequent bending to access storage areas or equipment. 4. Reaching: Reach for high shelves or overhead equipment. Working Conditions: 1. Temperature: Hot kitchen environment with temperatures up to 100°F (38°C). 2. Noise: Loud noise from kitchen equipment and music. Work Schedule: 1.
