Reference #: 4858352 THE POSITION The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is on the lookout for a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker to join the team in Bucks County. This role involves engaging in semi-skilled manual labor focused on maintaining the operations of State Parks and enhancing outdoor recreational experiences at Nockamixon State Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will operate under the guidance of the Park Maintenance Supervisor, engaging in semi-skilled tasks either independently or in collaboration with a skilled worker. The position entails utilizing lawn care equipment and various maintenance tools, including gas-powered hand tools, to perform a wide range of activities. These responsibilities often necessitate the application of skills developed through on-the-job experience and can differ from day to day. A significant portion of the role involves custodial duties, which include cleaning facilities such as latrines, cabins, and shower houses, as well as picking up litter, emptying numerous trash receptacles, cleaning grills, and executing other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Assignments are communicated through either verbal or written instructions and are subject to review upon completion to ensure compliance with established standards, thoroughness, and quality, as assessed by a technical, professional, or administrative supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. Work schedule varies; 37.5-hours/week, 7-days/week operation. Shift is typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
