Job Description
A business unit of Teledyne Microwave Solutions, is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of broadband high power helix Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs), TWT Amplifiers (TWTAs), and Solid State High Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) from 10MHz to 44GHz, for top performance in the stringent fixed and mobile environments used in today’s ECM, radar and communications markets. Our state of the art products are found on nearly all major EW, Radar, and Communication platforms of the United States and its allies throughout the world.
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, performs product inspection of incoming components or product processed by suppliers to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications. Identifies material as Conforming or Nonconforming. Writes reports of findings for review. Enters required data into system. Tasks may include complex and/or non-routine assignments.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret drawings and other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures and measuring instruments required.
Inspect or measure materials, products, or work for conformance to specifications
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
Record inspection or test data, and quantities inspected.
Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Prepare first article reports and enter required data into computer
Document inspection findings and complete rejection reports.
Follow established process/procedures for discarding or rejecting products not meeting specifications.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Vocational or Technical Certificate, or college degree (Associates Degree) in related or specialized field
3-5 years of experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a directly related field.
