Career Ladder progression Medical/dental/vision Paid time off Retirement and pension plans A Brief Overview The Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator has met all core skills of a respiratory therapist III and is able to perform all of the general RCP duties. They act as a resource for respiratory therapists, physicians, nurses and other hospitals employees. They also function as a liaison between the staff and department manager. Responsible for clinical supervision of staff employees. Responsible for coordinating of shift assignments as needed. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, caregivers, families and co-workers. What You Will Do General RCP duties including mechanical ventilation, routine respiratory care, special procedures. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, caregivers, and families and coworkers Takes responsibility for self development and supports a learning environment Displays commitment to the hospital and its mission and values Displays expertise in skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Clinical supervision of staff employees Provides leadership support, resources and assessment of personnel to maintain quality services Provides technical and clinical direction to staff, including staff orientation, training and development, quality initiatives and program development. Act as a resource, consultant for direct patient care for respiratory therapy staff, physicians, nurses or other hospitals employees. Function as a liaison between staff and department manager Coordinates or shift assignments as needed using either on-line workload or assignment tools. Troubleshoot, report broken equipment to the department operations assistant who will report to Clinical Engineering Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
