Job Purpose
As a Systems Engineering Intern you will contribute to the successful development of new and exciting energy storage battery systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a high performing team and energy domain experts to help drive product system design and development. You will gain valuable experience working at a global company and industry leader to help launch your future career.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
After 30 days in your role as an intern you will have accomplished becoming acquainted with your new team and completing introductory training. This is your opportunity to begin collaborating with discipline experts and aid in the development of designs and design documentation for ongoing programs. After 60 days you will have taken a larger role in contributing to test planning and test execution to verify design solutions. You will also have met with other team members regularly to better understand their roles and how you should be working together to strategize and achieve team goals. After 90 days you will have a firm understanding of energy storage technology and meeting today's challenges for our customers. You will be able to help with the generation of reports and presentations to convey design concepts, testing results, and simulation outcomes.
Qualifications
Basic skills in Python, C, or other programming languages Understanding of basic electrical design concepts (analog and digital circuit design, power calculations, overcurrent protection sizing, etc) Understanding of basic mechanical engineering design concepts (material properties, static and dynamic loads, design for manufacturability/assembly, etc) Experience developing schematics, 3D solid models, and 2D drawings. To be enrolled in an accredited 4-year college studying engineering or engineering technology in any of the following: electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical
