Job Description:

  • Fixed-term contract with immediate start until December 2025

  • Full time but would consider part time or other working patterns

  • Homebased with occasional travel to our office in Harlow, Essex

  • FTE £32,000 per annum

  • Based in the UK

  • Must have right to work in the UK

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Advisor to support various HR processes for our UK&I team. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.

Below are some examples of work activity that may be completed by this role. Please note that this list is non-exhaustive, and that this role may take on similar other tasks now or in the future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly Average Holiday Pay (AHP) calculations, and payments via the payroll team.

  • Manage Occupational Health referrals via our OH portal, ensuring sensitive management of health-related information.

  • Update policies and procedures as directed by the UK&I team.

  • Perform redundancy calculations and create redundancy and consultation-related documents, including settlement agreements.

  • Take notes in meetings as required by management and employees.

  • Complete the administration tasks associated with long service, ensuring that long service (loyalty) is recognised in accordance with the policy in force at that time

  • Complete adhoc HR tasks, such as reference requests, travel visas and management of our right to work/visa tracker.

  • Provide reporting, and send employee communications, to support the management of people related processes, such as mandatory course completion and other similar reporting requirements.

  • Support the HR team by providing data, analytics and MI from various sources.

  • Management of the HR admin mailbox.

Process Improvement:

  • To support simplification efforts utilising our Workday HR System

  • To spot opportunities to enhance the employee experience and simplify our processes

Recruitment activities:

  • Support the initial stages of recruitment processes through Workday, conduct initial recruitment screening activities and provide reporting on outcomes.

  • Complete the ‘Verifile’ employment referencing process for new starters.

Social Value:

  • To support the administration aspects of our social value programmes required for our bids and tenders.

  • Where required, run workshops with schools, colleges or long-term unemployment with pre-prepared materials as an articulate and confident speaker.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Good written and verbal comprehension.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Experience with Workday or similar HR systems.

  • Previous experience in a similar HR role.

  • Experience of UK&I employment law would be advantageous
