Description
Robert Half is searching for a talented entry-level Accountant. Your duties in this position will include entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. You could thrive in this position if you love Excel, maintain a positive attitude, and are open to an entry-level accounting position. This long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Dallas, Texas.
Requirements
Major responsibilities
Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Investigating and fixing account discrepancies
Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits
Log data
Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Put together monthly journal entries
Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned
Skills:
Strong communication and social skills
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
1+ years of relevant accounting experience necessary
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Solid understanding of account reconciliation
Command of journal entries
Foundational knowledge in Year-end Close
Deep understanding of month end closings
