ManpowerGroup Temporary Field Tech in Riverside, California

Manpower is seeking a Temporary Field Technician to support Site Maintenance and staff. The role involves ensuring safe and compliant work practices while assisting with operations, monitoring, and maintenance of influent and effluent systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment maintenance, plumbing, or similar fields, and will gain hands-on experience with the sites treatment systems.

Job Title: Temporary Field Technician

Location: Riverside, CA

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (half-hour lunch break)

Pay Range: $25/hour

What’s the Job?

  • Perform work safely and in compliance with regulations.

  • Use handheld scanners to collect data.

  • Assist with the operation of equipment, including:

  • Liquid stream equalization and storage systems

  • Pumping systems

  • Flocculation, clarification, resin, bag filtration, and activated carbon systems

  • Compressed air, potable water systems, and related control systems

  • Adjust operational settings (as directed) to maintain specifications and meet effluent standards.

  • Assist staff in performing routine and ad-hoc maintenance and monitoring process conditions.

  • Collect samples adhering to the sampling QAQC plan.

  • Ensure accurate data collection and recordkeeping.

  • Perform groundskeeping and facility painting, as needed.

  • Identify equipment needing repair and notify appropriate personnel.

  • Follow all health and safety protocols as outlined by the Site Health & Emergency Response Plan.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Handheld Barcode Scanners, computers, printers, copiers, telephones, two-way radios

  • Landscaping tools (shovels, mowers, rakes, weed eaters)

  • Vehicles (pickup trucks, ATVs, tractors, forklifts, man lifts)

  • Hand and power tools (hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, drills, grinders)

  • Water level indicators, lab equipment (pH meters), multi-gas meters, full-face respirators, air compressors, and generators

  • Other tools necessary for job completion

What’s Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid State of California Driver’s License.

  • Advantage for candidates with HAZWOPER certification (40 hours). The site will provide the training if not certified.

  • Previous experience in extraction systems, maintenance, plumbing, or machinery is advantageous.
