Your Role:
Develop and implement social service programs tailored to the needs of our senior residents.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
Manage and mentor a team of social workers and support staff.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Advocate for residents' needs and rights, ensuring access to necessary resources and services.
Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for social service programs.
Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for residents and their families.
Manages Social Services Department's performance improvement activities in accordance with NLCS standards and other regulatory agency requirements.
Ensures compliance as required.
Takes lead in developing Social Services department budgets
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required, Master’s degree in Social Work preferred
Licensed Social Worker by the state of assignment (Maryland or Virginia), LCSW-C preferred
Five to ten years’ experience, preferably in a long-term care or senior health care environment
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Computer electronic medical record experience is preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
