Pfizer VP - Digital PGS Site Network, Application Support & PGS Cybersecurity Services Lead in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

ROLE SUMMARY

The PGS Digital Site Network comprises Pfizer's 36 internal manufacturing facilities and 10 Distribution Centers globally. The manufacturing facilities are organized by manufacturing technologies into two Operating Units, with a mission to deliver world-class supply reliability and quality medicines to patients. The PGS Digital Site Network lead is responsible for:

  • Providing on-site Digital leadership and operations support to PGS.

  • Leading the PGS Application Support Organization (BTAMS) to swiftly and efficiently address events that disrupt manufacturing and supply chain processes.

  • Lead the Digital Cybersecurity Services team in support of PGS.

  • Collaborating with the Client Partner Group to develop and maintain 3-to-5-year strategic business technology roadmaps for each operating unit, in partnership with senior PGS executives, vice presidents, manufacturing plant and distribution center leaders.

  • Driving continuous improvement activities across the network to enhance user experiences and advance the adoption of global Digital systems.

  • Managing the yearly portfolio process by aligning and accounting for the key requirements of operating units within the portfolio; including local CI, Digital Lifecyle Mgt (network, infrastructure, and devices)

  • Coordinating across all Digital organizations to ensure manufacturing plants maintain contemporary Digital technology, minimizing production outages.

  • Maintaining high levels of quality and compliance by proactively identifying new trends and agency behaviors, and swiftly implementing changes and enhancements within the Digital Plant Network team.

The selected candidate will collaborate with PGS Site Leadership teams to drive strategy, ensure quality, maintain contemporary site Digital technologies, and align portfolio investments within the PGS Site Network. This role involves highly complex responsibilities, requiring global and cultural awareness while balancing the requests and requirements of PGS executives (IMEX levels T3 through T6), VPs of Operations, and 50 senior PGS Site leaders. With a significant portfolio of spend exceeding $100M, the candidate must manage complex requirements at multiple organizational levels, possess the business acumen to represent business needs, make quick decisions with limited information, and manage global, regional, and local relationships.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a global organization of approximately 130 Digital colleagues across the Plant Network, Distribution Centers, Application Support, and Cyber Security Services Teams, as well as external resources and contractors, to provide PGS Digital Operations Support.

  • Lead the Digital Site Network Organization's response to cybersecurity incidents and risks

  • Act as the Digital single point of contact for PGS Site Leaders, overseeing PGS site operations and collaborating with the Client Partner organization to align on overall PGS Digital Strategy in support of network objectives.

  • Advance business strategies by optimizing existing strategic enterprise system capabilities and adding new capabilities that drive significant value for PGS and the Plant Network.

  • Ensure a contemporary compliance and quality posture within the PGS Digital Site Network as new requirements emerge from internal and external auditing organizations.

  • Manage and set stakeholder expectations; prioritize all Digital work originating from stakeholders across the Plant Network, Distribution Network, and headquarters, and drive governance discussions for the Digital Site Network application portfolio.

  • Ensure Site Leadership sponsorship at the appropriate level for all Digital initiatives related to the Digital Site Network.

  • Mitigate critical issues by making immediate decisions during outages at manufacturing sites and distribution centers where products are at risk.

  • Ensure our Application Support teams meet RTOs (Recovery Time Objectives) for unplanned systems outages/issues and confirm our Application Support partners meet SLAs and Customer Satisfaction goals.

  • Establish a strong sense of team while developing talent and strong Digital capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA or BS in preferred disciplines: Information Technology, Manufacturing, or Business Management.

  • 20+ years of progressive experience leading global organizations.

  • Experience with large-scale, complex global organizations.

  • Digital Manufacturing experience.

  • Broad domain expertise across multiple business functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Digital Distribution Center experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing operation.

  • Global cultural awareness.

  • Proven team leadership and management experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel between primary work location and PGS locations.

  • Ability to participate in GEMBA walks, plant tours, etc.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Role will require meetings/calls/events outside of traditional working hours due the global nature of the organization.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.   • The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $215,400.00 to $359,000.00.
