The Role

We are now recruiting a Legal Manager - Office Based in Rome who shall provide legal support to all BMS functions. The Legal Manager will be responsible for: regulatory aspects of pharma products, commercial law, Privacy, antibribery, with specific regards to 231/2001 legislative decree, litigation cases, managing the interaction with external law firms assisting BMS, Farmindustria ed EFPIA codes, Tenders regulation.

Key responsibilities and Major duties:

  • Contribute to the Legal Department advice at the diverse company functions, regarding for example the correct application of regulations, internal procedures, Legislative Decree 231/01, data privacy, etc.

  • Support the Business Units, providing legal advice on business management activities.

  • Advice the Market Access function on their projects.

  • Support the Medical Direction projects, analyzing and understanding the internal customer and administration requirements and researching supporting legislation.

  • Support the Congress Dept. in preparing the documentation for events & meetings.

  • Support the company in issues related with the application of Legislative Decree. 231/2001 and Compliance.

  • Keep up to date on all new legislation and jurisprudence on issues of interest to BMS Italy, in line with the corporate legal policies.

  • All these responsibilities will be carried out autonomously in line with his/her experience and knowledge. In case necessary he/she will supervise and coordinate other members (i.e., when managing a litigation case with an outside counsel).

Required skills & desired experience:

  • Law degree, Qualification as a lawyer is a plus

  • Previous experience ( at least 5 years) as lawyer in multinational companies (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry) or international law firms.

  • Knowledge and Understanding of the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Solid and diversified knowledge in the legal field.

  • Fluency in English and Italian.
