Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
The main responsibilities of the Production Associate include visually inspecting IV bags for weight, functional and cosmetic defects, and seal integrity. Once inspections are complete, units are loaded into the pasteurization cart in a specific order. The role involves spending 50%-80% of the day sitting at a workstation.
Responsibilities
Support all local manufacturing operations.
Supply components, small parts, glassware, tubing, etc. to cell culture and purification areas.
Operate general production equipment such as parts washers, autoclaves, and stir plates.
Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
Manually clean all portable equipment and small parts.
Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.
Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.
Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain GMP standards.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Use basic computer functions daily, especially during training.
Essential Skills
Cleanroom experience
Manufacturing and production experience
Inspection experience
Medical device and pharmaceutical knowledge
GMP and GDP guideline adherence
Ability to perform general labor tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Cannot be allergic to penicillin.
Must be willing to work overtime, which can be done during the week (before and after shift) or on assigned Saturdays.
