Description We are seeking an organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join a dynamic healthcare team in San Bernardino, CA. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive patient experience by offering exceptional service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the office runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time-management skills, be able to handle a fast-paced environment, and maintain a detail oriented demeanor at all times. Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, detail oriented manner and provide assistance where needed. Ensure patient concerns are handled promptly and professionally. Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system. Administrative Duties: Answer and route phone calls, respond to email inquiries, and handle office correspondence. Insurance Verification and Billing: Verify insurance coverage, collect copayments, and assist with billing inquiries to ensure accurate financial transactions. Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Prepare documentation for patient visits by managing forms, updating personal and insurance information, and filing appropriate paperwork electronically. Compliance: Ensure the office adheres to HIPAA guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Office Coordination: Assist with ordering office supplies and ensure the reception area is clean and organized. Provide administrative support for medical staff as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in medical office administration preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role. Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with systems like Epic, Athena, or similar software is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance providers/processes, and familiarity with HIPAA guidelines.
