Summary
The Associate Brand Manager - Innovation role sits in our Pet division, leveraging Perdue expertise in quality protein to offer nutritious, all natural foods and treats for all members of the family, including the furry ones. This position is focused on optimizing performance of our core portfolio and executing in-market strategies to drive sales. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to storytell through data and with creative, strategic thinking, to help catapult our growth in the Pet category. Love for dogs is a plus! This is a hybrid position with Mondays and Wednesdays in the Santa Monica, CA office.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Base Business Management:
Support development and execution of strategies to support the performance of Treats business, including pricing, promotion, and distribution plans in partnership with Sales.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks for base business growth.
Track new item performance and provide actionable recommendations to optimize.
Category Management:
Partner with Sales to support key retail accounts, providing sales stores and insights, and developing tailored promotions and in-store activations to drive consumer engagement and retailer support.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution of plans across channels
Reporting & Analysis:
Track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales and share and respective drivers.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Marketing Collateral Execution:
- Manage the development of marketing materials to support base business initiatives, including product packaging, coupons, mailers, POS displays, and trade collateral.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in Brand Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
Experience Requirements
2+ years of experience in Brand Marketing or related consumer-facing field.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Nielsen/IRI and enthusiasm for insights.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus points for making killer sales decks.
Experience Preferred
- Consumer packaged product experience with emphasis in food or pet categories is preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
