Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and process tax filings including ITBIS, ISR, IR-3, IR-17, TSS, INFOTEP, and other Dominican Republic tax requirements.
Prepare and submit DGII reports (606, 607, 608, 609) ensuring full compliance.
Book and reconcile vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations (NCF).
Monitor and process accounts payable, including scheduling and issuing vendor payments.
Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare financial reports and statements in accordance with IFRS and local tax regulations.
Assist with audits and financial compliance by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics teams to ensure proper accounting of import/export transactions.
Maintain records of financial transactions and expenses to support financial planning and reporting.
Ensure communication with local branches regarding financial reporting, compliance, and tax obligations.
Meet compliance at all times
Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into the department
Play a supporting role on projects that improve productivity level per desk
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Advanced degree or certification (CPA, IFRS, DGII courses) preferred.
Minimum two years of relevant experience in tax compliance, general accounting, or financial reporting.
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Pro-active approach, strong organizational skills
Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word)
Fluent in English
