As a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1 with our team, you will join us in utilizing a holistic approach in partnering with individuals, families, and the community by promoting hope, empowerment, choice, and opportunities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a professional administrative position that performs service utilization reviews, supports program enrollment, and provides oversight for federally funded Community Living and Person/Family Directed Support Waivers. You will assist the Director of IDD Services in managing virtual allocation of the waivers, monitor program utilization, and ensure appropriate services are provided to individuals based on their needs, wants, and rights while assuring choice of service and provider. Work also includes supporting case management and provider staff in interactions with entities outside our office as well as participating in collaborative care efforts and programs

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. You will not have the option to telework in this position. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna or Susquehanna counties.
