Weekly Pay!

Pay Rate: $83,100.00-$120,500.00 annually based on experience

SUMMARY: Provide technical support for a chemical process facility that applies silver to soft surfaces. Evaluate plant performance and initiate corrective actions, while also offering maintenance support and recommendations. Additionally, prioritize safety, operating costs, efficiency, scrap reduction, and team development through a continuous improvement approach.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manufacturing Engineering Support
    1. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
    2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
    3. Interface with and support plant environmental, health, safety and sustainability initiatives to ensure overall compliance with objectives and regulations.
    4. Optimize resource utilization and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Capital Projects
    1. Plan, design, and manage capital projects from conception to completion.
    2. Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.   Once the project is approved, work closely with other operations teams and finance to understand and drive projects to meet expected ROI and payback period.
    3. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Plant Facilities Management
    1. Troubleshoot plant utility issues and write internal SOPs to ensure optimal performance of equipment (Examples of facility systems include water recycling, DI water, compressed air, power, HVAC, wastewater treatment, etc.).
    2. Ensure site compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations and policies.
    3. Demonstrate technical mastery of wastewater processes and administer permit requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the staff as needed to address technical problems and support operations/outage planning and scheduling activities.
  • Perform work in compliance with SOP and/or critical work packages, and maintenance work instructions.
  • Oversee and manage an organized filing system for plant documentation, including engineering drawings and permits.
  • Be available for evening and weekend emergency repairs is required.
  • Communicate, collaborate and coordinate with different stakeholders -- engineers, operators, managers, vendors and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in plant engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, life safety codes and environmental standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 2015 or similar procedures

  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. 
  • Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. 
  • Occasionally exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Wear protective equipment when necessary, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety boots.
