Expeditors Project Manager II - OXP Legacy, IS Operational Experience in Seattle, Washington

The Project Manager (PM) will take on the role of Scrum Master for an internal compliance and control team. They will communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders quarterly.  To help the control team achieve their goals, they will maintain and execute a quarterly work plan, help raise awareness and mitigate risks.

They will direct the day-to-day activities of Analysts in collaboration with the Program Coordinator. The PM, in conjunction with the Program Coordinator, is responsible for the successful Control development/testing, ensuring committed Controls work is completed on schedule and the Controls Program is optimized for the team they support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the stand-up and team in self-organization

  • Removes impediments and provides visibility and/or escalation to leadership

  • Fosters a positive and productive environment within the team

  • Coaches the team on implementing control measures and adhering to regulatory requirements

  • Monitors project progress and reporting deviations to relevant stakeholders

  • Delivery schedule management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of information technology controls within a project.

  • Understands the context and status of each feature and story planned for work

  • Supports the Program Coordinator in administering quarterly planning

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or in a relevant field

  • Familiarity with audit frameworks (SOX, COSO, COBIT) and internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Ability to successfully navigate and execute within ambiguous and stressful situations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Data visualization skills for highlighting and trending progress

  • High level of integrity, ownership, accountability and initiative

  • Continuous learner; receptive to feedback, with a desire for improvement

  • Experienced problem solver, strong collaborator, and able to provide organization and clarity around complex topics

  • Ability to actively inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and activities, particularly Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • 1-3+ years of experience in related field (i.e., project management, software development, IS or Agile leadership, etc.)

  • SAFe Scrum Master certification or similar

  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams to deliver results with tight deadlines

  • Understanding of the transportation/logistics industry

  • Familiarity working with compliance systems like those under Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Comfortable working on production systems under audit

  • Knowledge of the basic nature of auditing, enterprise IT environment and information system concepts, and IT audit principles and practices a plus

Expected base salary:  $80,000 to $125,000

May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
