Sierra Nevada Corporation Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor (Deploy ONLY) in Shalimar, Florida

As an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aircraft repair and maintenance activities and ensuring those activities are performed safely, on-time, and within budget. You'll ensure all foreign object inspections and activities are completed, ensure projects are properly staffed with qualified employees and establish work standards, hours of work and appropriate shifts to be worked to accomplish work on small programs. You'll also review maintenance delays and system problems in order to suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures. You will have overall responsibility for the airworthiness of the fleet and will ensure safe and adequate maintenance is performed at all times with the exception of platform supporting programs.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a detailed aircraft maintenance plan in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance planning documents
Schedule and coordinate all aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory compliance
Monitor ongoing maintenance work, making necessary adjustments to schedules to ensure timely completion
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to all maintenance activities
Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure the availability of required resources
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to align maintenance activities with their needs
Participate actively in safety and quality assurance programs to uphold high standards
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aircraft systems and regulatory requirements
Input and manage data in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) aircraft records system
Assist in creating process steps within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Leverage knowledge and experience with military and commercial aircraft ATAs (Air Transport Association Specifications), AMMs (Aircraft Maintenance Manuals), Work Orders, and Technical Orders
Utilize maintenance planning software effectively
Apply a strong understanding of FAA regulations and any foreign customer policies to all planning activities
Lead or support project/program management tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Provide daily Situation Reports (SITREP) detailing the aircraft status and operations.
Provide monthly reports summarizing the most important aspects of the daily SITREPs and discussing longer term trends and issues
Collaborate with engineering to work on complex technical problems to provide solutions
Must-haves:
B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
Typically, 4+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience or lead experience developing employees; assign, direct, evaluate their work and provide appropriate feedback
Familiarity with aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures and safe operating practices
Basic understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
Aircraft records database/ aircraft maintenance tracking software experience
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Familiarity with rotable and non-rotable aircraft parts certificates Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies
