Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner .This role is pivotal in driving HR solutions, managing workforce needs and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations within the Plastics Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of human resources policies and programs, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including ADA, EEO, FMLA, and FLSA

• Aid plant leadership in applying HR programs to departmental operations

• Assist employees with day-to-day inquiries pertaining to HR-related matters

• Manage and improve human resource policies and procedures

• Oversee all activities related to recruitment such as posting open positions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and updating job descriptions

• Manage the onboarding process for newly hired salaried employees

• Conduct exit interviews and workplace investigations

• Compile HR metrics and report to management

• Analyze local labor & compensation trends to develop initiatives to maintain competitiveness in the labor market

• Assist with the annual performance review process.

Requirements

  • Ideally seeking 5-10+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred

  • Must demonstrate excellent listening skills, along with the capacity to assess and navigate complex situations effectively.

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across various levels of the organization.

  • Familiarity with key HR functions, including hourly recruitment, employee relations and engagement, benefits management, payroll, policy implementation, compliance, and related areas.
