Eaton Corporation Manufacturing Engineer - Intern in Sherman, Texas
What you’ll do:
Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. This position is a seasonal summer position based at our Sherman, TX facility.
Position Overview:
Eaton Cooper B-Line is seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the production of electrical enclosures. The selected candidate will play a key supporting role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the site’s processes. Through the analysis of performance data, identification of inefficiencies, and the implementation of strategic solutions, the ME Intern will support the site in achieving its goals. This role involves collaboration with various departments to foster a culture of innovation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop standard work instructions, perform time studies, develop operator loading and capacity charts.
Assist with various continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives which may include participation in Kaizen or Rapid Improvement Events.
Provide support for new product initiatives and production part validations.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a junior or senior pursuing a B.S degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without company sponsorship.
Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Sherman, TX.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or previous internship experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Position Criteria:
Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
