Our Market Operations SCM team is responsible for supply chain processes and systems design & deployment, flawless product launches, customer material pricing, and broader business execution, including working capital management, supply assurance and flexibility, and supplier quality.

We are currently seeking a Director, Strategic Supply Chain Management to join our team to be a global customer focal point for supply chain. This person will have responsibilities for flawless new product introduction, inventory, supply chain continuity and productivity in support of a set of customers in our Connectivity and Cloud Solutions (CCS) segment.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in both customer management and execution of both strategic and tactical supply chain initiatives. The incumbent will lead/coordinate the efforts of multiple support organizations, globally, to ensure a successful engagement with Celestica’s customers.
Detailed Description
Maintains responsibility for one or more strategic global customers
Leads the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.
Provides leadership in the analysis of material costs to support customer quotations, and quarterly production pricing updates for global customers.
Provides direction for component source selection, leads the evaluation of supply risk, and ensures a robust supply chain strategy is in place for all critical components
Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers, including supplier managed inventory (SMI) programs, and other key business terms.
Leads the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
Interfaces with cross functional teams to support customer focused initiatives, and to ensure account targets are met. Collaborates with manufacturing site and customers to resolve issues.
Has regular communication with the customers related to demand, forecast consumption, sourcing strategies, supply flexibility and future process changes / improvements.
Supports customer claims related material, including excess & obsolete inventory, premiums and material quality.
Drives Celestica’s execution to customer demand, including shortage management and the coordination of critical escalations.
Provides direct and indirect supervision to all supporting managers and employees performing highly specialized roles in several major functions or departments.
Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. May have overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods and employees in a functional area.
Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters in the area of responsibility to ensure achievement of objectives.
Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience with 12+ years of relevant experience
Extensive knowledge of an EMS manufacturing environment, materials and processes
An understanding to the global supply chain as it pertains to the EMS environment
Supply chain optics experience is desired, ideally experience in managing optics transceivers business
Strong knowledge in all areas of import/export, regulatory and logistics management
Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills
Thorough understanding of all the considerations for a robust TCOO model
Ability to work with all levels in an organization
Strong communication and presentation skills
Able to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally
Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management
Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
Ability to maintain external contacts with consultants, associations and other companies for benchmarking and networking
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives
Regular travel to China and Thailand is required (20% - 30%)
