ABOUT THE ROLE
Mobile Equipment Operator - Level III position is a key positon transporting materials throughout the quarry operation relating to floor, berm or high wall management depending upon production/shipping requirements. If working in a sand and gravel operation, this key position operates transports materials using a dredge.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems
Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.
Primary operations of front end loaders that is a face loading machine and/or dredge
Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 800s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders.
Floor management, berm management and safe high-wall management
Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Two years’ experience working with Floor management, berm management or safe high-wall management, preferred
Two years’ experience working with a Dredge, preferred
Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice.
