Job Title: Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician to assist with both on-site project layout and supporting office operations. This role is primarily field-focused, requiring hands-on work at job sites alongside foremen, while also involving some office-based tasks for data organization and support. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and proficient with technology.
Responsibilities
Work directly with foremen on-site to assist in planning and laying out future project work.
Use an iPad to document critical job site information, including notes, photographs, and accurate measurements.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure all necessary data is collected efficiently and comprehensively.
Input field data into spreadsheets and databases, ensuring accuracy and proper organization.
Maintain project-related paperwork by filing, sorting, and updating records.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.
Experience using a tape measure.
General labor skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Experience with using technology such as iPads for documentation purposes.

Work Environment
You will be working at construction sites for roadways and sidewalks across Central New York. Our team is composed of 35 - 40 employees in the field at any given time, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solvay, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
