Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Somerset County, New Jersey
Description
We are looking to bring on board an Accounts Receivable Clerk. The key focus of the role will be to process client applications, maintain accurate client records, and address client inquiries in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the billing process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Accurately processing cash applications.
• Ensuring account reconciliation is completed in a timely and correct manner.
• Performing cash collections and ensuring all accounts are up to date.
• Managing and maintaining accounts receivable records.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel
• Implementing commercial collections procedures as needed.
• Monitoring client accounts and taking necessary actions when required.
Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), including the management of outstanding invoices and the resolution of account discrepancies.
• Demonstrated expertise in Billing procedures, with the ability to create, send, and follow up on invoices.
• Familiarity with Cash Applications, with a focus on recording customer deposits and payments in the accounting system.
• Experience in Cash Collections, including contacting customers regarding outstanding account balances and negotiating payment plans.
• Proficiency in Commercial Collections, with an understanding of commercial credit and collections procedures.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions for financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience with Oracle, with a focus on its financial management software for tracking and reporting financial information.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to manage financial data and generate reports.
• Familiarity with SAP, with a focus on its financial and accounting modules.
