The Manager furthers our mission by providing exceptional supervision and direction to a team of about ten employees that work to serve clients in our rental assistance programs. The successful candidate will be highly organized, a natural mentor, and highly professional. Wage starts between \$59,500 and \$67,000 per year depending on equivalent qualifications. The candidate will work onsite, primarily at our main office in Springfield, and one day per week in Northampton. Responsibilities include: * Manage the planning, direction, and administration of assigned rental assistance programs * Provide expertise in the interpretation and implementation of program policies and procedures, including consulting with legal counsel as needed * Oversee curriculum and planning of staff trainings, including timely updates; ensure the accurate communication of policies and procedures to clients * Manage the collection and maintenance of data, statistics, and other internal reporting requirements to meet contractual obligations for funding sources; work closely with funding sources and staff to resolve any data discrepancies * Assist leadership in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs * Continuously evaluate current systems and workflows; make recommendations for changes and improvements with foresight * Attend local and statewide meetings as a representative of the organization, as necessary * Appear in court as keeper-of-records, as required * Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with staff (including across departments), owners, landlords, community groups, fundings, stakeholders, and constituents * Demonstrate commitment to advancing the tenets of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace through trainings, openness to discussion/feedback, and self-awareness * Remain current on developing trends in housing assistance and related areas Requirements include: * 5 years\' progressively responsible experience in housing, social services, public administration, or a related role; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor\'s degree may be a substitute * 1 year in a supervisory or lead role * Adept with Microsoft Office and database applications, and comfort learning new technologies * Commitment to high-quality customer service * Advanced skills in assessing priorities, organizing, and operating in a flexible manner in a fast-paced environment while retaining a high level of attention-to-detail * Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to positively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds * Must earn and maintain funding-based certificvations within a limited trimeframe * CORI, as per grant requirements
