The role

The Preventive Maintenance & Stockroom Supervisor oversees the PM Department and Stockroom, ensuring effective management and technical expertise. Responsibilities include maintaining the Plant Preventive Maintenance Program, overseeing preventive maintenance for equipment, buildings, and systems, and managing forklifts, manlifts, and fire protection systems. The role also involves coordinating with departments to stock necessary items, ensuring timely reordering, and verifying inventory accuracy. Additionally, the Supervisor facilitates installations and mechanical repairs to uphold a safe work environment.

How youll make an impact

Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, and 14001 standards; maintain safety procedures, JSAs, and training records.

Maintenance & Repairs: Supervise preventive maintenance activities, equipment repairs and inspection, fire suppression and alarm systems; oversee forklifts, manlifts, and company vehicles.

Custodial Operations: Facilitate installation and mechanical repairs to buildings and oversee custodial standards.

Stockroom Management: Maintain spare parts inventory, process item requests, and ensure accurate physical inventory counts. Will perform duties of Receiver as required.

Leadership: Train and guide team members; conduct performance appraisals; support Lean initiatives and 5S standards.

Administrative Duties: Manage payroll, PTO, and employee relations; ensure proper handling and documentation of hazardous materials and waste. Responsible to create new and revise existing work orders.

Play a leading role in the planning, coordination, and implementation of efficient shutdowns by minimizing planned and unplanned downtime.

Support continuous process improvement within the organization by effectively developing and maintaining appropriate technologies such as the DCS and Preventive Maintenance Systems.

Annual Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training is required (8 hrs.).

Responsible for the preparation of and transport of hazardous materials/waste. HM 181 Department of Transportation (DOT) training is required every two years.

Required to respond to after-hour emergencies.

Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

What do you bring

5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a mill setting.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team of employees.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt certification preferred). 2 of 2

Must be able to meet all physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis.
