Job Title: Systems Engineer

Position Summary: Be a part of Cintel's innovative team, engineering the next generation of combat vehicles for the U.S. Army. Based in Sterling Heights, MI, you'll work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center, engaging in a technically challenging and diverse career focused on manned and unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation.
Bring your engineering expertise to multidisciplinary research projects focused on ground combat vehicles, where your skills in embedded systems development, integration, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation will be key in advancing optionally manned systems for the DoD's Science and Technology sectors.
Strong customer interaction and relationship management are critical in this role, so the ideal candidate should be personable, well-versed in their field, and an excellent communicator.
The candidate must have proven experience in embedded systems development, with a solid understanding of various engineering processes, methodologies, and lifecycle stages for designing vehicle systems and subsystems architectures.
This role may also require leading programs or sub-projects, working closely with clients to understand and translate complex platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering components across multiple disciplines.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's of Science or higher in Engineering or a related field.
At least 10-15 years of related experience.
Experience with military systems and leadership responsibilities in a large project or effort.
Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.
Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.
Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.
Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SysML UML, DoDAF, UPDM.
Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).
Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.
Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.
Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans.
Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers.
Desired Qualifications:
Process development and improvement management (CMMI).
