JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21415 JOB TITLE: Human Resources Assistant (Temporary) Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Chief Human Resources Officer Position Summary This position functions under the general direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This position assists the department in general administrative support. HR promotes an atmosphere of vitality and well-being. The requirement of this position is a general knowledge of human resource functions and principles. This position must demonstrate exceptional customer service, maintain confidentiality, and foster an environment that is inclusive, trusting, respectful, and collegial. General duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Prepare and organize routine administrative communications, resources, and reports and maintains office equipment and supplies, under close supervision Manage mail, email, and visitor traffic for the department Update and maintain employee personnel and related files and assist with records retention. Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders that interface with HR. Serve as initial point of contact for customers, email, phone, in-person, and through administrative support management software. Shift: 7:45 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Duration: \3 months Anticipated Appointment Date: January 2025 Terms of Employment: This is a temporary University Staff position, non-exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.
