Job Description
Job Title: Editorial Producer, CTV Northern Sudbury, Bell Media, ISATSE
Job Status: Full-Time. 40 hours per week. Shift work and overtime as required
Location: 699 Frood Road. Sudbury, ON
Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing content and lead the daily line-up for CTV News Northern Ontario
Lead, mentor and inspire a team of journalists, fostering a collaborative environment dedicated to journalistic excellence
Collaborate with team leads to define & build multi-platform content & coverage
Support journalistic team with coaching and regular feedback
Ensure we are delivering the latest developments in major news stories while covering breaking news quickly & accurately
Writing to include but not exclusive to story intros, voice overs, and promos.
Vet scripts, video, audio, & banners
Ensure accuracy, consistency & adherence to CTV News standards of all material
Participate in news editorial meetings
Keep on top of news broadcasting trends on all platforms
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive editorial experience in broadcast news
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a positive and collaborative newsroom while under pressure
Superior news judgement, strategic vision, broadcast writing skills and passion for delivering impactful stories
Strong understanding of digital media and multi-platform content strategies
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Graduate of a broadcast journalism-specific University or College program
Excellent decision-making & organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task & meet strict deadlines while maintaining strong editorial judgement & creativity
Experience in vetting scripts
Team player and capable of producing quality work in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills – Oral & Written

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)
