Job Title: Panel Builder

Job Description

As a Panel Builder, you will assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding equipment. You will also be responsible for cleaning parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.

Responsibilities

  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.

  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.

  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.

  • Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with panel building

  • Control panel knowledge

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics

  • Proficiency in wiring and electrical assembly

  • Blueprint reading

  • Troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a new building specifically designed for panel builders

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
