Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc is seeking ten (10) Line Cooks to work with them at 3530 County Rd 83, Tabernash, Colorado 80478. The position will be full-time and seasonal during the dates of April 1, 2025 December 31, 2025.

The role of Line Cook is to inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Portion, arrange, garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus.

Employees will work Mon-Sun an average of 35 hours/wk. Must be able to work any 7-hour shift within 6 am - 12 am any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary, weekends are required. Workers are required to have three (3) months of work experience. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, must be flexible, be able to communicate in English and be a team player. On-the-job training is provided. Devils Thumb Ranch Operating Co. Inc will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Daily transportation is provided at no cost.

The wage is $19.48 per hour. All deductions will be made from paychecks that are required by law. No other deduction will be made unless agreed upon. Overtime is available at a rate of $29.22 per hour. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company s sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Wages will be paid bi-weekly on Friday, and the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

Optional housing is available at the rate of $94-125 per week depending on the location. The amount will be deducted from the employee s paycheck if agreed upon. This is not a condition of employment. In the alternative, the employer will assist the worker to find suitable housing that is available within walking distance of the worksite.
