Work you'll do
The Operational Risk Management Business Analyst Project Associate 5 is responsible for delivering transformative, outcome-based, technology-enabled solutions with a focus on people, process, and technology. In this role, you will support all phases of solution development, including engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, documenting problem statements, articulating user stories, collaborating with multifunctional teams, and facilitating user acceptance testing. Our practitioners help clients streamline operations, automate tasks, reduce ambiguity, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, risk, and operations functions. Note that candidates may be required to be on-site in the Tampa office 2-3 days a week.
Gather and analyze client requirements, analyze business processes, and assist in stakeholder interviews through storyboarding, workshops, or persona journey maps.
Assist in product backlog management by developing epics, features, and user stories, and engage with development stakeholders to drive progress.
Collaborate with design stakeholders to design or provide feedback on UI/UX artifacts.
Collaborate with multifunctional stakeholders to gather input, solicit feedback, and implement user stories and requirements to fulfill business needs.
Prepare and present written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, proposals, and systems training, and assist sales efforts through engagement with clients and prospective clients.
Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks.
Support operational risk assessments, KRI reporting, operational risk event and issue management processes.
Evaluate business processes, identify problem areas, and suggest improvements.
Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a risk management, product management, or strategy role.
Experience with communicating and collaboration with stakeholders across business and functional teams (e.g., Technology)
Experience in project management and change management.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience capturing and rationalizing requirements from stakeholders.
Experience evaluating business processes, identifying problem areas, and suggesting improvements.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Experience using Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ServiceNow.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at anytime in the future.
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and comfortable solving and reframing business problems using a design and consulting mindset.
Experience with risk management software like MetricStream, RSA Archer, SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) or similar
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or similar
Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as R, Python, SQL, VBA or similar
Familiarity with financial regulations and industry best practices
Experience with Quality Assurance activities, including defect reporting, defect management, and assisting in monthly or quarterly product change control boards.
Foundational knowledge of relational databases and experience writing basic SQL queries.

Continuously monitor risk exposures and ensure they remain within established limits and thresholds.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on risk exposures, limit breaches, and threshold violations to relevant stakeholders.
Analyze trends and patterns in risk exposures to identify emerging risks and potential limit breaches.
Escalate limit breaches to appropriate levels of management and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a risk management, product management, or strategy role.
