Nurse Practitioner details:
Position Details:
Full time
40 hours per week
M-F 8:00am – 5pm
Primary role is:
Provide comprehensive care to patients within the clinic and inpatient setting postpartum
Create a smooth transition to postpartum care for women needing added medical management both postpartum and beyond
Essential Job Duties:
The APP will see a risk-stratified population of postpartum patients who experience HTN, DM, obesity, and other chronic conditions.
Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited MSN or PA program
Must have Indiana RN license.
Must have active APRN or PA/CSR license or be eligible for licenses.
AANP, ANCC or PA certification
License/Certification:
BLS certification
