Adecco is currently assisting a client in Troy, MI , in the search for an Accountant II to join their growing team! This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities – Accountant II

  • Manage daily asset-related activities and reporting for internal and external cash management, including cash inflow/outflow and fixed assets.

  • Provide entry-level accounting services , including preparing and processing transactions and financial statements.

  • Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate accrual expenses .

  • Oversee accounting functions such as journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, lease assets, and bank reconciliations .

  • Ensure financial reports comply with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations .

  • Reconcile books and assist in preparing fixed asset expenditures, profit and loss statements, cash flow, and balance sheets .

  • Conduct monthly cash collection and payment forecasting for cash management reporting.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving queries.

  • Maintain financial security and compliance by following internal controls.

  • Prepare and fulfill Internal Control Assessment Tests for K-SOX and external financial audits.

  • Document work processes and develop training materials for accounting procedures.

  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions .

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Generate internal and external reports in both English and Korean for regional and headquarters teams.

  • Conduct financial data analysis on general ledger, income statements, and balance sheets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business Management.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance .

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to work early/late hours as required to communicate with global offices and meet financial closing deadlines.

  • Preferred: CPA certification or candidates who have passed the CPA exam but are not yet licensed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multinational corporations and regional/national audit firms .

  • Understanding of intermediate accounting principles and cash flow management .

  • Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills .

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills .

  • Professional interpersonal communication skills .

  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel functions.

  • Ability to lift/move objects as needed for inventory counting.

  • Willingness to work late at least five days per month .

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure .

  • Capability to understand and utilize various financial systems effectively.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
