Role Summary :
The Communications Content Consultant at ONE Gas is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that support corporate initiatives. This role requires understanding different audiences, crafting effective messages, and implementing tactics that help internal clients meet desired business objectives. It works collaboratively with other Corporate Communications team members and internal clients.
What You Will Do
Responsible for providing communication support for internal clients and developing communications content for company initiatives, programs and related publications. This includes developing and implementing communications plans that support corporate strategies.
Research, plan, implement and evaluate communications plans for ONE Gas that align with business objectives and support corporate culture.
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally while executing tactical plans to meet desired outcomes.
With supervision, work with subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to craft compelling messages, stories and content that showcase our corporate strategies, values and achievements.
Write copy for company reports, the employee intranet, digital channels, video scripts, talking points, speeches and presentations. Optimize content for use across a variety of channels. This may include using tools to create simple infographics, quick videos and other multimedia content.
Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of communications and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the job.
May perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or another related field preferred.
Experience researching, developing, executing and evaluating communication plans and messaging for external and internal audiences across a wide variety of communication channels. Understand how to identify key audiences and tailor content to resonate with them.
Strong writing skills and proficiency using AP Style. Experience in employee communications, corporate storytelling and familiarity with thought leadership concepts, or other relevant experience.
Experience monitoring and measuring the impact and effectiveness of communications through intermediate level data and analytics.
Completes multiple projects simultaneously and meets deadlines.
Monitors timelines, deliverables, and results to ensure successful project completion.
Experience related to:
Use of Communications equipment (video/audio/photographic) and mediums (print/electronic)
Use and management of intranet content management systems, such as SharePoint
Maintaining analytics of online tools and communications
Survey tools and research methodology
Use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Read and write fluently in English.
Accreditation through PRSA or IABC is preferred.
Communicate and exchange information and instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Operate office tools and equipment required.
Sufficient to perform job responsibilities.
Applicable driver's license; potential travel to other company offices and field locations.
