Responsibilities:
- Serves as the Wildland Fire Management Division Project Lead for Airborne Intelligence/Gathering/Processing data collected from airborne assets and supervises assigned Photogrammetrist
- Train, Mentor, Qualify, supervise, and provide oversight of assigned personnel and assess and select other Aviation personnel for training and qualification as a Mission Sensor Operator at the direction of the Aviation ADM
- Prepare detailed technical reports for city/state/federal, department, and fire personnel for aerial intelligence collected
- Operates, maintains, downloads, and creates airborne reports/maps/intelligence using handheld FLIR devices, Cameras, and advanced Thermal/Infrared/Mapping/Lidar aircraft systems in support of Natural Resource missions and Emergency Operations, and other missions as assigned
- Perform pre-flight, mission planning, and post-flight duties
- Provide Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and an array of airborne capabilities through the use of full motion video, sensors, and mission equipment for the Agency, Partners, and outside entities such as Cities, Counties, and other Federal Agencies
- Supervises providing Quality Control (QC), processing, and storage of acquired data per (IAW) Aviation Operations Plan and Standards (AOPS)
- Development and enforcement of department's standards for Aerial Intelligence collection systems to include EO/IR camera systems, downlink systems, LIDAR operations, and data processing for produced gathered from those systems. In addition, serve as the subject matter expert in these operations for developing policies and procedures for the use of equipment and storage/distribution of collected intelligence/products/etc.
- Works with Section and Division GISS personnel with processing, storage, interpretation, and distribution of gathered products/intelligence to Division and IMT personnel for the use of the natural resource missions
- As the senior level position in this program serves as the primary liaison for the department to Incident Management Teams for aerial Photogrammetric project requests from the department's Aerial Intelligence program
- Supervises the department's Mission Sensor Operators as the first-line supervisor.
- Provide oversight, edits, and evaluate photogrammetric products and perform necessary corrections from assigned personnel before distribution of products
- Works with Aircraft Pilot 4 to establish and maintain staffing schedule for Mission Sensor operations
- Administers, develops, delivers, and leads the Division's Mission Sensor Operator training program,
- Maintains assigned department EO/IR camera systems, downlink systems, and aircraft operator stations with product vendors for hardware/software updates to include programming, system software maintenance, and basic upkeep of the EO/IR system IAW OEM guidance
- Identifies and provides recommendations to the AADM for new Mission Sensor Operators to be trained.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1 year of supervisor experience over a professional staff.
1 year of experience in the following:
Experience with Crew Resource Management (CRM) procedures as an Aircrew Member
Operating GIS software (e.g. ARC GIS PRO, Google Earth, etc.)
Processing mapping, data, and GIS operations ICRD GIS Pro, Google Earth, etc.)
Operator experience with Ariel EO/IR Systems (TELEDYNE FLIR, WESCAM, Trakka, systems) OR UAS data collection sy
