Manpower Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator in Union Gap, Washington
Our client, a global packaging manufacturer is hiring for a subsidiary in Yakima, WA. This role is direct hire and offers a full-time, onsite work schedule. We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator who will collaborate with leadership and employees in initiatives and strategies surrounding workplace safety and healthy corporate culture. Job Title: EHS Coordinator Location: Yakima, WA Pay: $65-77k per year What's the Job?
- Ensure safety compliance and labor law enforcement with employees
- Work closely with site leadership to share new and updated information, strategies, and activities surrounding a safe working culture
- Organize and conduct weekly safety meetings with 1^st^ and 2^nd^ shift production workers
- Assist with investigating incidents involving injuries, near misses, illnesses, first aid, fires, hazard reporting, and property damage
Maintain up to date and accurate reporting records and documents for Safety Data Sheets, hazardous waste, management of chemicals, and storage
What's Needed?
1+ years current EHS experience in a production environment
- Ability to read, comprehend, translate and apply industry regulatory standards and policies
- Comfortable in presenting and conducting safety trainings and demonstrations to groups of people
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency
