Landscape Construction Laborer - 3 fulltime, temporary, peak load (H-2B) jobs available 04/01/2025-12/15/25
Employer: Massey Masonry, LLC, 16 Middlebrook Drive, Valatie, NY 12184.
Job Duties: Assist in the installation of landscape and outdoor living areas with mortarless dry set patios and retaining walls. Assist with all aspects of the project including excavation and grading of site, installation of crushed stone base, move, cut, and install patio and wall block, final grade topsoil, seed lawn, and install plants, mulch, decorative stone. Use masonry hand tools and basic masonry power equipment, such as brick hammer, chisel, and slicer. Assist in maintaining and stocking trucks, equipment, and tools. Ensure that everything is operational. Keep job site organized and clean. Load and unload tools and material from trucks and trailers and relocate on site as needed. Operate skid steer and tractor. Dig, shovel, wheelbarrow materials for install. Rake and grade stone, soil, and mulch. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs intermittently. Plant shrubs, small trees, grass and sod. Install, cut and finish paving stones and block.
Walking, carrying, stooping, and kneeling for long periods of time. Work outside in various weather conditions. Drug testing may be required post hire for all workers at employer's expense for safety of workers and clients. Post-hire drug testing required post-accident at employer's expense.
Workers may drive company vehicles to, from, and between worksites in Columbia County to perform duties and/or transport equipment and materials.
Employer to provided transportation to various worksites in Columbia County from designated location: 16 Middlebrook Drive, Valatie, NY 12184.
Work days: Monday-Friday (Saturday work required, when necessary), 7am-3:30pm, 40 hours/week at $25.17/hour. OT possible at $37.76/hour. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.
No education required, 3 months experience required.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Tuesday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will assist workers in securing housing, but employer will not provide housing.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
