MTA Long Island Rail Road Transit Cleaner in Various locations, New York
MTA is looking for hard-working, customer-oriented and safety-conscious individuals to clean, sweep and wash subway stations, subway cars, buses and other Transit facilities. There are no education or experience requirements for this position. SALARY AND BENEFITS: The starting rate of pay is $20.19/hr. increasing to $33.65/hr. after six years of service. Rates are subject to change. The benefits package includes paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, Transit transportation pass, a comprehensive medical plan and a pension plan. SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants will be sent a random list number via email by April 28, 2025. As Transit Cleaner vacancies occur, applicants will be scheduled, in random list number order, for an assessment to determine their ability to competently and safely perform the duties of Transit Cleaner. Applicants who pass the assessment will be scheduled for employment processing.
