CATERPILLAR INC Product Engineer (Mechanical/ Hydraulics/ Engine/ Cooling) in Victoria, Texas
Caterpillar Inc. seeks Product Engineer (Mechanical/ Hydraulics/ Engine/ Cooling) at its facility located at 7300 Lone Tree Road, Victoria, TX 77901.
Provide change leadership, facility product support and lead improvement projects in the areas of Quality, Velocity and Cost. Work with Caterpillar teams at various levels within and outside the facility, and with external suppliers. Will also work on and around the machines. Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, and quality engineers to plan and implement product changes for hydraulics at the facility and implement calibration test plans. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems for machines at various states of assembly. Get on the machines while interfacing with mechanics, technicians, and operators to execute tests and/ or collect data. Provide analysis to derive root cause and/or determine improvements, and lead projects to develop and implement solutions.
REQS: This position requires a bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Materials Science or a related field and 5 years of experience as a professional engineer, including Product, Design, Application, Systems, and/ or Manufacturing Engineer or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Hydraulics System Troubleshooting; (2) Design Release for NPI/ NSI projects; (3) Lean manufacturing (Six Sigma); (4) Top-Down Modelling (TDM) BOM for Assembly; (5) Computer Aided Design (Creo); (6) Structures Design Engineering; (7) Welding and Welding Quality; and (8) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Summary Pay Range:
$125,549- $143,520
