Job Summary:Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist/Laser Operator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines and laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal parts. This position requires a strong understanding of machining, laser cutting technology, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machining centers, lathes, and laser cutting machines to fabricate parts and components per specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand the scope and requirements of each project.
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines and laser cutting systems, ensuring they are operating at optimal levels.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high production quality.
• Inspect and measure parts during and after production to ensure they meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines and equipment to ensure consistent performance and longevity.
• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety standards and company procedures.
• Assist with programming CNC machines and laser systems, making minor adjustments or changes as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations, parts produced, and materials used.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Laser Operator in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and laser cutting equipment.
• Strong understanding of machining and laser cutting principles, including tool selection, material properties, and cutting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and machine programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift and move materials and parts as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and physical strength to operate machinery and handle parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
