Description
We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team, based in Walnut Creek, California. The role involves managing key aspects of accounting, including Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to use your skills and experience to contribute to our team's success.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Handle balance sheet reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial data aligns.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, verifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare journal entries, maintaining the accuracy of financial information.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
• Participate in month end close activities, verifying all financial details.
• Work with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.
Requirements
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Preferred experience includes working in a large public accounting firm, holding a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, and/or working in a healthcare environment
Necessary skills include a high degree of organizational skills, the ability to set priorities and manage multiple demands, and the capacity to complete tasks under strict timelines
Proficiency in computer spreadsheet skills, specifically with Excel, is required
Candidates must also have excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills
A desire to learn, a welcoming attitude towards feedback, and an interest in personal development and advancement are also required
