PURPOSE :
Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Account Executive to lead and grow strategic relationships with our health plan partners. This role will be responsible for managing existing partnerships, driving renewals, expanding product adoption, and identifying new opportunities for acquisition growth and ASO business through Plan. The ideal candidate will have experience in health plan account management/sales, a strong understanding of digital health/point solutions, and a track record of delivering client/partnership success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Account Management & Growth
Support acquisition growth by identifying and developing opportunities with health plan partners to grow acquisition of self-funded book of business and Fully-Insured (of assigned book of business).
Support with ASO growth through Health Plan. Coordination with Sales Lead and Account Executives at Plan.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned health plan partners, ensuring alignment on goals, expectations, and success metrics.
Drive contract renewals and negotiate terms to sustain long-term, high-value partnerships.
Identify and execute opportunities for product expansion within existing health plan partnerships, collaborating with internal teams to tailor solutions to partner needs.
Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and clinical teams to align strategies and ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
Track and monitor client engagements through Salesforce, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, and drive sales membership and revenue growth.
Provide Wondr leadership with regular and status reports on health plan health and client activity.
Strategic Partnership & Engagement
Develop deep expertise in each health plan partners strategic priorities, member needs, and regulatory environment to provide consultative support and drive engagement.
Analyze performance data and deliver insights that showcase the value of our solutions, influencing decision-makers within the health plan.
Advocate for partner needs within the organization, collaborating with internal teams to drive enhancements and optimizations.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that may impact partnerships.
Operational Excellence & Execution
Lead the implementation and launch of new initiatives within health plans, ensuring smooth execution and adoption.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring internal teams and health plan partners have visibility into impact and areas for optimization.
Establish and maintain account plans, renewal timelines, and engagement strategies to ensure continued partner success.
Drive internal process improvements to enhance efficiency and health plan partnership experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Deep understanding of health plan operations, reimbursement models, and regulatory considerations.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to analyze data and present insights to drive strategic decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel 30-40%
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
- BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required
Experience:
5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or client success, preferably in digital health, health tech, or healthcare payer space.
10+ years’ experience in a strategic client growth role, professional services, or healthcare consulting. Health/tech space preferred.
Proven success in managing complex, high-value partnerships and driving revenue growth.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial health plans.
Familiarity with digital health, virtual care, or member engagement platforms.
Experience in scaling partnerships and launching new products within health plans.
