Job Title: Compounder

Job Description

As a Reaction Operator (Compounder), you will be responsible for accurately filling and measuring liquids and powders into tanks, following precise formulas and guidelines. Your role will include using computer systems, handling documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Use computer systems and handle related documentation.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Fill liquids and powders into tanks.

  • Use scales to measure liquids accurately.

  • Weigh out raw materials according to the formula.

  • Operate a forklift to move products around the production floor.

  • Select the appropriate tank based on manufacturing requirements and batch size.

  • Pick required raw materials from the warehouse according to the formula.

  • Scan raw materials using a barcode scanner to ensure lot number and quantity accuracy.

  • Stage raw materials and add them to the tank according to work order instructions.

  • Fill and pack orders according to sales orders, ensuring accurate weight and labeling.

  • Follow GMP, safety guidelines, and procedures.

  • Be open to cross-training and assisting in different departments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience performing compounding, reaction operating, and mixing in a food or chemical environment.

  • Understanding of GMP guidelines.

  • Ability to perform raw material measurements.

  • Experience using scales, pumps, valves, and air mixers.

  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Attention to detail in labeling and packing logs.

  • Comfortable wearing a respirator.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Food production experience.

  • Experience with blending, batching, packaging, and batch making.

  • Experience with batch mixing, batch records, and SOPs.

  • Experience in food manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, and machine operation.

Work Environment

You will work in a GMP food environment with a second shift schedule from 2pm to 10:30pm. The role requires handling chemicals and food-grade materials, operating forklifts, and wearing a respirator.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
