Overview
CHI St. Alexius Health Williston now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health has been proudly serving our community since 1920. CHI St. Alexius Health Williston proudly provides primary care specialty care family medicine 3D mammography orthopedics neurology and several other health services to our Williston community.
The clinical supervisor will maintain regulatory standards and standards of nursing practice, and be directly responsible to the Director in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluation, and supervision of unit activities according to unit policies and procedures. All the criteria-based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Medical Center.
Responsibilities
Act as a role model through support of the Medical Center’s mission and values by promoting and enhancing the Journey Beyond Excellence expectations.
Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Assures quality of care by establishing hospital and nursing division’s standards of care; enforcing adherence to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; recommending adjustments for hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and therapeutic phlebotomy.
Complete hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis event report follow up, monitoring, and education as appropriate.
Collaborates with leadership to maintain staff by assisting in recruitment and selection of nurses and completion of the orientation process.
Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN required.
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum of two years of nephrology nursing experience.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
Skills: Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care and regulatory standards. Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required.
Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff. Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors, and patients. Maintains confidentiality.
PREFERRED Education and/or Experience
One year of supervisory or management experience preferred. Demonstrates managerial competence.
Pay Range
$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
