Lab Automation Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our dynamic Research and Development team. The successful candidate will assist in the design and construction of automated assembly and production machines, contributing to new innovative manufacturing processes that drive our company forward. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in electro-mechanical machine design, construction, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design, develop, and test automated production machinery.
Develop and construct test equipment to validate new manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and repair instrument & control failures.
Create electrical diagrams and control circuits suitable for maintenance & service personnel.
Train and mentor junior technicians and interns in automation design.
Qualifications:
Associates of Applied Science or higher degree, successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, or equivalent formal military training.
5+ years’ post-educational experience in the design and construction of control circuits and control panels.
Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and automated systems.
Proficiency with relevant design software (AutoCAD, etc)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
