Description
We are in search of a Senior Tax Accountant or Manager to join our CPA firm located in Windsor, Colorado. The individual will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of clients overseeing the work of Tax Accountants, and handling complex tax issues.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide Tax Accountants, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of tax filings.
• Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, incorporating federal and state returns for agricultural clients.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific tax regulations.
• Develop tax strategies customized to the unique needs of agricultural clients, including tax planning around land use, farm operations, and government subsidies.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis on emerging tax issues relevant to agriculture, including federal and state tax laws, depreciation rules, and estate planning.
• Maintain and build client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for tax inquiries, tax planning strategies, and regular communication.
• Coordinate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive financial services to clients.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new services with existing clients and participating in networking events.
• Ensure all client engagements are completed within established deadlines.
This role offers a lot of WFH but must live in Colorado or Nebraska to be considered for the role.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a CPA firm
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Active CPA or in process of getting CPA license
