Job Description
Teach courses within the Psychology curriculum including, but are not limited to, Introduction to Learning, Sensation and Perception, Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and/or other courses within the candidate’s area of specialty that complement the Psychology curriculum.
Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate degree in Psychology (Ph.D., ABDs may be considered), specializing within the broadly defined field of Neuro- or Biopsychology.
Expertise and training sufficient to teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Learning, Sensation and Perception, Introductory Psychology, Statistics and/or other courses that complement the Psychology curriculum.
Record of commitment to conducting research.
Preferred Qualification
Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level.
Ability to teach a variety of courses to serve the Psychology curriculum and department needs.]
