The Automotive group sector comprises technologies for passive safety, brake, chassis, motion and motion control systems. Innovative solutions for assisted and automated driving, display and operating technologies, as well as audio and camera solutions for the vehicle interior, are also part of the portfolio, as is intelligent information and communication technology for the mobility services of fleet operators and commercial vehicle manufacturers. Comprehensive activities relating to connectivity technologies, vehicle electronics and high-performance computers round off the range of products and services.
Provide overall legal support to certain Automotive Business Areas and Central Functions to ensure the achievement of all business goals with minimum legal risk exposure.
Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents, contracts and agreements for all kinds of business operations for automotive business. Develop, maintain and update contract templates from time to time to improve the contract management process constantly.
Work closely with the operation/project team to proactively support a wide range of (cross-border) transactions for the maximum realization of business opportunities.
Manage disputes and legal proceedings effectively and provide practice-oriented solutions to the management for dispute resolution and protect company's interest in a timely and efficient way.
Support other departments on risk management topics and procedure. Provide legal advice to the relevant matters such as internal or external investigations.
Develop hands-on working relationships with business partners at all levels and play as a team member within the Law Department and the company. Manage external attorneys effectively.
Admitted to practice law with bachelor degree in law or above. Overseas education/working background would be a plus.
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience ideally with a major law firm and/or a MNC in China preferably with "broad based generalist" legal background in the automotive/manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge, business acumen and sound strategic thinking with outstanding organizational and analytical skills for detailed and results-orientated solutions.
Willingness and ability to build up an excellent relationship with major internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to constantly improve knowledge and the legal outcome of work as well as the corresponding processes.
Mature personality with high integrity and self-motivation, dynamic communication skills and ability to work and judge independently under pressure.
Strong team player with willingness and ability to take responsibility in the team.
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must. German language skills would be a plus.
